Hearing aids come in a variety of styles and sizes.
From larger devices that are easier to handle, to tiny, invisible, or nearly invisible devices that are concealed within the ear canal, Audiology & Hearing Center has options sure to meet your hearing or cosmetic needs.
Lyric is the world’s first invisible extended-wear hearing device. There are no batteries to change, no maintenance is needed and no daily insertion or removal is required.
All hearing aids consist of three basic components:
A speaker (also called the “receiver”)
Where these are placed on the device varies by style, as does the internal circuitry that determines the sound quality and critical sound-processing features — like background noise reduction or spatial mapping (a feature that helps you to better understand the source of sound). Keep in mind that not all styles are suitable for all degrees of hearing loss.
